Contrary to the recent deeply reduced forecast, Vente-Privée nevertheless grew 15% to an estimated 781 million euro.
Vente-Privée has converted their public reporting of revenue from net to gross values in 2010. Per the press release:
Due to the success of competitor ShowroomPrive, Vente-Privée needed to lower their growth expectations, especially in their home market.
For 2011, Vente-Privé has announced that they want to offer their e-commerce know-how to external companies, “as service provider in the areas of logistics, customer service (call center) and marketing”.
A good read is the recent interview in the LA Tribute. According to the interview, Vente-Privée cashflow lies at 170 million euro. Furthermore Vente-Privée CEO Jacques-Antoine Granjon comments on the activities of Amazon (takeover of BuyVIP in 2010) and eBay (takeover of Brands4Friends at the new year).
