Etsy has published their December financials and with them the 2010 results are now fixed. Etsy has been able to raise their merchant’s revenues from $180 million (2009) to $314 million (2010). In 2008 the Etsy merchants were at a revenue level of $88 million:
Looking at the monthly figures, December was the strongest month pulling in $41.1 million. Looking at the whole year, Etsy underperformed against their own target of $400 million for 2010.
Nevertheless, these results are fine when considering that it’s not possible to optimize in too many places at the same time. In this case, it’s revenues and the social shopping experience: Etsy recently introduced Activity Feeds and Circles.
