The Turkish Webrazzi blog has a few interesting statistics (TR/EN) on the progress of Limango in Turkey. Many thanks to Iskender Dirik, who kindly translated the information for us:
- Limango has by now collected 120,000 members in Turkey.
- The majority of purchases take place between 10 and 12 in the morning.
- Buyers originate from 78 different cities across the country.
- The 5 cities where the most orders are placed make up 84% of the total orders and 83% of the total revenue. These are: Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, and Bursa.
- From May until August, the favourite product category was “Beauty & Care”, followed by textiles, shoes and (sun)glasses.
See in comparison the info on Turkish market leader Markafoni (GE/EN), who launched a year ago and has now over 500,000 members.
Limango founder Sven van den Bergh is one of the speakers at the next Fashion Commerce Forum (in German). By year end, Limango wants to use the support of their new owners (the Otto Group) to raise their membership to 900,000.
