Up from 30-40 participants last year to over 100 this year, the Live Shopping Days event held last month was a surprising success. Organized by Exciting Commerce’s own Jochen Krisch, the conference brought together web site operators, service providers and suppliers together at the Zanox GAP Campus in Berlin. Presentations, panel discussions and networking time were dedicated to topics related to the success factors, trends and future of live shopping.
In video coverage from Martina Schimmel-Schloo (German language report), she highlighted comments from Jochen Krisch and other participants of the conference:

Identified by Krisch in the interview were the lessons to be learned from teleshopping - in essence the precursor to live shopping - noting that decade old strategies for product planning, orchestration and customer loyalty can all be adapted and reused.
Panels consisting of the “Who’s Who” of the German industry discussed their experiences with their live shopping or club shopping business models (iBood, Guut, Preisbock, BuyVIP, Brands4Friends and Triphunter).
Also on the agenda were case studies on market leaders such as Woot! and Backcountry.com.
The next Live Shopping Days event is tentatively planned for end of the year. Until then, all the latest live shopping news from Germany can be found in the Live Shopping Days blog (German language).
